Why the fearless birth doula? 

I was one of those women who was fearful of childbirth when I first became pregnant. My only point of reference, as is sadly the case for many people, was the TV shows or films that depicted childbirth as a painful and horrific experience. Through educating myself, practising hypnobirthing and really doing the work, I changed the narrative and released my fears. And now I want to remove the fear around birth for everyone. 

I had water births with both of my children, first in the midwife led unit, and then a freebirth at home (a mere four weeks into the Covid-19 pandemic!). I am not being hyperbolic when I say my freebirth was life-changing. I had never felt so empowered and I honestly feel like my daughter's birth led to my re-birth!

I am passionate about sharing the tools and knowledge which will enable you to find your power, make informed decisions and feel in control of your birth. I will support you (and your partner, if applicable) to advocate for yourself, to navigate the maternity system and to truly release your fears or worries around birth. I will not judge you and I will not tell you how to birth.
